One gel for the whole wound care cart.

Lavior™ Advanced MultiCare Hydrogel keeps the wound moist to support autolytic debridement, absorbs light exudate and forms a protective barrier, across acute and chronic wounds, from burns and skin tears to venous, arterial and pressure ulcers.

Chronic wounds should be managed under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional, as part of a plan that addresses the underlying cause. Use as described in the instructions for use.

Questions practices ask

What hydrogel can be used for pressure injuries, venous ulcers and skin tears?

Lavior™ Advanced MultiCare Hydrogel is a hydrogel wound dressing for acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers and injuries (Stages I–IV), venous stasis ulcers, arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers, skin tears, partial- and full-thickness wounds and surgical incisions. Chronic wounds should be managed under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.

Can a hydrogel be used on burns?

Lavior™ Advanced MultiCare Hydrogel is indicated for first- and second-degree (superficial and partial-thickness) burns. It is not for third-degree (full-thickness) burns.

How does it work?

By physical means only: it maintains a moist wound environment that supports autolytic debridement of dry, sloughy or necrotic tissue, absorbs small amounts of exudate and forms a physical barrier against external contaminants. It also moisturizes and protects intact or superficially compromised surrounding skin. It is plant-based, with no antibiotics and no steroids.

Can it be used for incontinence-associated skin irritation?

Yes, for mild incontinence-associated skin irritation on intact skin, as described in the instructions for use.

How is it applied?

Cleanse with sterile saline or a suitable wound cleanser, apply a thin layer (about 5 mm), and cover with an appropriate secondary dressing. Change daily at first; for drier wounds every 2 to 3 days, or as directed. Compression may be used with it only when directed by a healthcare professional.

What HCPCS code applies?

A6248, hydrogel wound filler. A HCPCS code does not guarantee coverage or payment. Coding and coverage
