Questions practices ask

What helps dry, cracked skin on the feet of people with diabetes?

Lavior™ Diabetic Skin Barrier Cream is a non-medicated barrier cream for intact skin. It forms a protective film that helps reduce moisture loss and protects dry, rough, cracked and scaly skin from external irritants. It is steroid-free, cortisone-free, paraben-free and fragrance-free, for daily use.

Has it been studied in people with diabetes?

Yes, in a published pilot study (Journal of Lower Limb Wound Care, 2025; Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine): 14 adults with diabetes and dry skin on their feet used the cream daily for 2 weeks. Improvements in xerosis severity, itching and interference with daily activities were statistically significant. As a small, company-supported pilot, results may not be generalizable.

Can it be used on a diabetic foot ulcer or open wound?

No. The cream is for intact skin only and is not intended to treat diabetic foot ulcers. For wounds, use a hydrogel wound dressing such as Lavior™ Advanced Diabetic Wound Hydrogel.

How is it used?

Wash and dry the area, apply a thin layer to clean, dry, intact skin, and massage gently until absorbed. Use daily, or as needed.
